BRAVO TO UNITEN!

UNITEN At Petronas Philharmonic Hall

Good day people, I am going to talk about the marvellous event that just happens recently. One of it is, on 10th April 2012, Uniten Indian Dance Group has performed their dance at Petronas Philharmonic Hall. They have been chosen as the only representative of the Private Higher Educational Institutions (IPTS) to perform their dance at the concert "of Heritage Roots". Moreover, the highlighted part of this event is the one of the chief guests at the concert were Honourable Raja Muda of Perak. This is the most honourable thing ever a student can get.

The sequence of this tribute began with the participation in the contest "Festival Colours of the World" which was held at the Universiti Teknologi Petronas in 7 and 8 April. In this competition, UNITEN has sent three groups of performance which is ASTENA, (Zapin dance), UNITEN GEMENTARI (Samrah dance), last but not least, Indian Cultural Association(Kolam Attam dance). The competition is jointly organized by UTP, Perak State Department of Culture Arts and the Ministry of Higher Education Student Affairs Division, IPTS.

Astena and Gementari dance group got a gold award while Indian dance group has been selected to compete in the final stage with eight other groups. In the final, Indian  dance group was selected as one of the five best and was awarded the "Gold with Honour" and the opportunity to perform at Philharmonic Hall Petronas.

I would like to wish congratulations to the group of students and all individuals who have contributed and help making the event more successful. This is proven that Uniten is not only famous in academic wise but they also in co-curricular activities. Once again congrats to those students for bringing up Uniten's reputation.
