Lecturers:Pn Norziana Jamil

   One of the lecturers in Uniten is Pn Norziana Jamil.She works under the System and Networking department in College of Information Technology.

   Her academics qualifications in Bachelors and Masters in Information Security from Royal Holloway,University of London had put her to work as a Senior Software Engineer in the year 2000 to 2003 and Senior Researcher from 2004 to 2010 and currently holds position as the senior lecturer in the department.Before this, she had worked in MIMOS.

   This mother of 4 had also done some researches includes lightweight cryptographic algorithms, design and analysis of modern cryptographic hash functions, biologically-inspired cryptographic Boolean functions, steganography and security protocols.These remarkable researches had made her won the Best ICT Research 2010 in Uniten ICT Research competition and Patent granted (D07Y0103) ENTITLED "Error Eliminating Protocol for Communicating Parties".

   Alongside her career as a lecturer in Uniten, she had also produce some publications for the university references.One of them are the "Authentication Scheme Based on Identity-Bits Commitment for Wireless Sensor Network in collaboration with R.Mahmood.

   One of the subjects that she taught in Uniten is Discrete Structure, coded CSNB 143.Its a mathematical subject where the students will learn numbers and formulaes that could relate to the computer technology.One of her students, Nor Asyikin Shohadi from Johor states that she loves her class because not only she could make the class a fun place with students, her teachings were well taught, clear and understandable.She will taught teh class with firm until she was sure that all the students understood the current subject.

Lecturer:Saraswathy Shamini

LECTURES !!! Well what can I say about them? All i know that lectures in UNITEN are all well educated and have full capability to teach their students with all the knowledge they have. Each of the Uniten lecturers have own skills and they all master in special subject!!. Even, there are lecturers who studying while teaching. Some of them even completed PhD and pursuing their research in particular subject. Most of them also have take part in competition and won with flying colours!! So i can guarantee all the lectures in Uniten are qualified with unique skills. 

Madam Saraswathy Shamini

  Today I’m gonna talk about one of my favourite lecturer in UNITEN that is Madam Saraswathy Shamini. Before I tell why I like her, let me brief lil history about her. She has completed her Bachelor in Information Technology in Uniten and she also have Masters in Management Information System. She is currently teaching Introduction to Computer Graphics, C programming , Computing Skills for engineers, Discrete Mathematics and Statistics for computing. Before she teaches in Uniten she has teach in several universities such as BINARY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, ASIA PACIFIC OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY and ASIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE, MEDICINE AND TECHNOLOGY, AIMST. She is a Graphics and Multimedia lecturer, which not even related to my course (software engineering). I can guess what you might be thinking now. 

  You all must be wondering how I have meet her. Here you go, when i was in my Second semester, she taught me Statistics for Computing subject. First I taught she will be same as other lecturer but in my first class she has make me like the subject so much. Her teaching skills are just awesome. She advice us not to memorise whatever in the book and write down in exams. She makes sure all the student understands the subject and she also relate particular thing in our routine life as example so that we all can understand and remember more the subject.

   Furthermore, time flies very fast when she teaches in my class. She will make sure her class is interesting as possible. She prefer her students to always participate in class such as frequently ask questions. Plus, i have never skipped her class anytime neither other students as well. Even other students have always love to go her class. I hope she teach me in future again.

   As, conclusion not only Madam Saraswathy Shamini, there also lots of other lecturers in Uniten are unique in their own way. If I have chance, I would write about all lecturers in future. Till that I’m signing off now. Hope you all will join UNITEN soon!! SEE YA soon!! Have a blessed day!! =D!!!

Lecturer:Mr. Lim Kok Cheng

             Lectures!!! Lectures!!! Lectures!!! This is the topic for week 8. For information to viewer of our blog, this week, we will post about lectures who is lecturing in University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). There are 388 lecturers in UNITEN. Each of them is specialized in different skills and all of them are very good in lecturing students. As you all know, UNITEN has its own standard base line, which means all the lecturers are qualified lecturers in terms of knowledge, skills, academic and inter-personnel skills.

             Today, I am going to talk about one of my favorite lecturer in UNITEN, that is Mr. Lim Kok Cheng. When students sees his name in their timetable, they will be very happy because they know that they are going to enjoy studying that particular subject thought by him. Before go in detail about him, let me show his picture first.

               Everyone like him because of his character and the method of teaching. He is such friendly person and his relationship with students are like friends. There are no distance like "I'm a lecturer, so must be strict with students". While his method of teaching is different from other lecturer where he emphasis on 'Learning With Fun' technique. He used to make all kind of jokes in the class but he make sure all of us understand what we studied for that lectures.

                I get a chance to study under his supervision. He thought me Advance C Programming subject which is very important. I make use of the class and I enjoyed maximally. As far as I know, I never skipped his classes because it was very fun.

                Let me give a small history about him. His full name Lim Kok Cheng. His hometown is Langkawi. He completed his Bachelor in Information Technology (Hons) in University Tun Abdul Razak (UNITAR), Kuala Lumpur.He is teaching 4 subjects in UNITEN that are Web Programming, C Programming 1 &2 and Software Testing. He won the award for "Pensyarah Muda Harapan" that means good upcoming lecturer under College of Information Technology (COIT) in 2011.

                 In a nutshell, I personally feel that he is my favorite lecturer in UNITEN. With his class, I have learned a lot in my life.

Lecturers:Mr.Alan Cheah Kah Hoe

    

HELLO EVERYONE!!! How are you there??? This week I will talk on the topic lectures. The lecturer I pick the talk on is MR.ALAN CHEAH KAH HOE. He is the department of information system lecturer. He is teaching subjects like Management Information System, Lotus Domino Designer & Lotus Notes and foundation students. 

I as a student of the college of information technology had taken two classes with him. As an experiencing two sem which is almost 8months been taught by Mr.Alan Cheah I would like to say he is a very interesting, fun, funny and very strict guy too. He is kinda strict in the class with all his teaching presentation but however he get to deliver in a little fun environment with jokes and any more.

Moreover, his teaching materials and methods are kind different and interesting to students. During my class, the brought up the technique of ‘double dare’ and ‘weekly lab test’. It was very interesting and challenging to accept these two techniques of him. However, students were challenged by him to take those dares and most of my class mate and me do accept the dare.

The challenge of ‘double dare’ is if one question correct you will get two marks but if you get wrong, each wrong will be misused with one marks. The other challenge the ‘weekly lab test’ is a weekly test where before we leave the class we have to solve a question and each question consist of one marks. Besides, if you plan to do in group the plus and minus marks will be given according to the numbers of your group member.

In conclusion, I would like to say Mr.Alan Cheah is quite strict person however he get to manage and keep his class as interesting as he could to increase the student’s interest in that particular subject.  

Lecturers in Uniten

Hai everyone,

  For this week, its all about our beloved lecturers.Of course, a university will never be complete without lecturers.In fact, it won't be a university if we don't have lecturers.Without them, we will be nothing.

Without further ado, lets continue on this by introducing all the lecturers in every departments and programmes provided here in Uniten.

Lets start with the lecturers from college of engineering.These lecturers are well experienced and innovative lecturers in the field of engineering.They gave great education, experiences and commitments to these students that make Uniten proud to have them, well, so are we.And we are so lucky to have them as our  lecturers .

There are a total of 25 lecturers in the Civil Engineering department, 40 lecturers in Electrical Power Engineering department, 58 lecturers in Electronic and Communication Engineering, 46 lecturers in Mechanical Engineering department and 8 lecturers in Engineering Mathematics and Management Unit.


Now, lets know the lecturers here in COIT.These lecturers, as COE, are also well experienced lecturers in the IT field.They are good in teaching these students the theories in computers, and how to use them effectively in daily life.They have strong personalities and able to interact well with the students that they manage to produce quality students for the outside world.


There are a total of 10 lecturers in Graphic and Multimedia department, 17 lecturers in Information System, 18 lecturers in Software Engineering department and 13 lecturers in Sytem and Networking department.

And finally are the lecturers from CFGS.They are all very creative teachers and always ready to serve the

best in their teachings as well as always there to help the students whenever they are in trouble with their studies, and even their social lives.

There are about 28 lecturers in Sciences, Mathemathics and Computing, 11 lecturers Business Management and Accounting, 13 lecturers in Social Sciences department and 18 lecturers in Languages and Communications department.
